He has produced and/or directed over twenty shows as part of Perth’s Fringe World Festival, garnering two Best Comedy award nominations along the way - he even directed Perth magician Pierre Ulric’s appearance on Penn & Teller’s Fool Us. Through theatre he explored making weird things, and no topic, theme or genre was off- limits, provided he could find the story. For his first theatre production he wrote, directed and produced the world premiere of Werewolf Priest! The Lamentable Ballad Of Father Hank Grimby in the Blue Room Theatre’s 2014 Season One to rapturous acclaim – Ben Elton declared it “quite possibly the most fun and entertaining thing I’ve ever seen!” He is currently in production on his second feature, Emu War: A Subtle Examination of the Sheer Caucasity of Colonialism, due for completion in 2023.Īlong the way, Levon “stumbled” into writing, directing and producing live performances and quickly fell in love with the stage. It has recently secured worldwide distribution through BayView Entertainment, of New Jersey. After success with television shows, his first feature film as writer, director, producer, and editor, Everybody Gets Stabbed, was nominated for Most Innovative Score at the inaugural WA Screen Culture Awards in 2020, and premiered at the 2021 WA Made Film Festival. Levon has always dreamed of making movies. Levon is a many hat-wearing multidisciplinary artist who is most comfortable behind the scenes as a writer, director and producer of film and live performance.
